Solutions to problems
I see while living and
working from anywhere.

I'm Arda — ex-Tesla engineer, 2x UC Berkeley grad, one-person studio. Everything here started as something that got in my way while living and working from anywhere, so I built the fix and shipped it.

Things I've built and shipped

Five products, all live. Each one solves a problem I hit myself, and each was designed, coded and launched solo.

Practice a language with the friends you already have. You chat normally, AI corrects your mistakes inline, and every new word you meet becomes a flashcard automatically.

Drift website with the headline "You can't quit. But you can moderate."

Drift

Live

A habit app for drinking, smoking, vaping or scrolling less — without the all-or-nothing pressure of quitting. It tracks moving averages instead of streaks, so one bad night isn't a failure.

derive.how

Live

A knowledge graph of physics. Every equation is a node linked to the ones it derives from, so you can trace any result back to first principles instead of memorising it.

Blueprint for a Free Society

A book deriving the foundations of a society from first principles — what maximises prosperity while keeping everyone free.

About

Engineer first, founder by choice

I studied Physics and Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley, then spent my first years as an engineer at Tesla. I liked the problems. I liked owning them end-to-end a lot more.

So now I build my own: one person, full stack, from the idea to the store listing. When I'm not shipping, I'm usually somewhere with a decent wifi connection and a much better view — under a canopy, on a board, or halfway through a country I hadn't planned on.
